Some of the feedback we've had so far: "Wow! I went finham 2 years ago and wish the toilets looked like that when I was there!" "I am currently working on toilets at a Primary school, I was not sure where to start, although I cannot say we will be able to create such a wonderful job as yourselves I was very inspired by your site - Congratulations on a job well done!" "J-block girls toilet is great!" "I'm a student of Finham Park and I think the toliets are a massive improvment. The students will not write on the walls of such nice toilets." "J-block GIRLS is amazing!, truly fabulous.. just wish it had been like that 13 years ago when me and me mate who shall remain nameless used to hide out in there to skive off Games!!! Tee Hee hee..." "What I love so much about this project is the respect it shows the kids, making use of their imagination to improve their own environment. I reckon it will improve the vandalism problem because the more responsibility you give to people the more they have." "I think I would have put the designs of M block boys in the girls and swapped them over as the colours are blue in the girls and orange in the boys." "As the mother of a teenage girl and pre-teen boy I think these designs are fantastic - all kids want is some kind of ownership of their spaces which you gave them with this project - I think it's great how they have chosen their designs - quite grown-up but with their own stamp - curiously my favourite is the boys M-block - as it's so not 'boysy' in its choice of colour and quirky design - my only moan? - why do these projects only ever get funded for 'inner city' schools - my kids go to Kenilworth School in leafy (affluent!!) Warwickshire - the largest secondary school in the county with the biggest catchment area - around 1750 kids so probably bigger than Finham. They would dearly love this kind of opportunity to improve their spaces but these projects are never available to us/them. Well done Talking Birds and pupils of Finham Park." "They look fabulous - shame they are never open for students to use!!" |
