» The OakMobile

Commissioned by the National Trust, who wanted something attention-grabbing to send out into Birmingham, Talking Birds created the OakMobile - to get in people’s way and arouse their curiosity; to kickstart a conversation about the Trust, about people’s special places and to interest people in the Trust – as visitor or volunteer. The trailer's design evokes some of the architecture in Birmingham and the shapes of some of the National Trust’s Midlands properties - all growing out of a shiny silver acorn cup. Inside lives the Story Collector who would like to find out which places are special to the people of Birmingham and why...
